A simple yet powerful plugin for coming soon and maintenance mode with lead capture.
PreLaunch Kit puts your site behind a normal WordPress landing page until you go live. You choose coming soon or maintenance mode, decide who can still browse, and collect emails with FluentCRM or Mailchimp blocks built in.
Version 1.0.0 / Last Updated: 2026-08-01
Features
Coming Soon / Maintenance Mode
- Coming Soon — Show visitors a “launching soon” page (and optionally collect emails) while telling search engines the site is still open for business.
- Maintenance Mode — Show visitors an “under maintenance” page (and optionally collect emails) while telling search engines the site is temporarily closed.
- Show visitors a custom landing page instead of the rest of your site
- Let certain user roles (like Administrator) keep full access
- Allow specific IP addresses (handy for your team or office)
- Share a private bypass URL so anyone who visits it can browse the real site for a while (like a shared preview link, not a login)
Capture Emails Before Launch
You can use any solution of your choosing for building your landing page and for capturing emails. For those who use WordPress blocks (Gutenberg), PreLaunch Kit includes a newsletter block that’s ready for you to drop in your desired settings.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do we set up Coming Soon or Maintenance Mode?
- Go to Pine Digital → PreLaunch Kit
- Enable PreLaunch Kit and choose a Landing Page
- Choose Coming Soon or Maintenance Mode
- Optionally set Exclude User Roles, Exclude IP Addresses, and Bypass URL
- Click Save Settings, then clear all levels of caching
How do we capture emails using the block editor (Gutenberg)?
- Using the WordPress block editor, edit your coming soon / maintenance mode landing page.
- Insert the Newsletter block from Pine Digital PreLaunch Kit (or search “newsletter”).
- Select the inner Newsletter Form block (not just the outer Newsletter wrapper).
- In the sidebar, choose the platform:
- Mailchimp — Enter your API key and list/audience ID. The key is stored in WordPress options keyed by list ID and is not left in front-end HTML after save/render.
- FluentCRM — Choose a FluentCRM Tag and FluentCRM List (or leave empty). If FluentCRM isn’t active, you can type a tag/list slug manually.
- Optional: open Protection → keep Enable Honeypot on (default) to silently accept bot fills.
- Adjust layout (row vs. column, stack on mobile), success/already-subscribed messages, and colors as needed.
- Publish the page and then select it as the Landing Page within PreLaunch Kit.
Do we need FluentCRM or Mailchimp?
Only if you use the newsletter block from PreLaunch Kit to capture emails and you want to integrate with either FluentCRM or Mailchimp.
What are the minimum requirements for PreLaunch Kit?
PreLaunch Kit is fully tested with the latest version of WordPress. We always recommend running the most up-to-date version, but we also support older versions:
